Chapter Meetings

Our monthly meetings are part of the glue that holds the chapter together and are vitally important to our mission of fly fishing education and cold water conservation. These meetings are FREE and everyone is welcome!

March 12, 2025 Chapter Meeting:

Are We Seeing an Insect Apocalypse?

What It Means for Trout & Anglers

Join us for two expert eye-opening presentations as we explore the alarming decline of aquatic insects and what it means for our rivers, trout, and the future of fly fishing.

Dr. Diana Six

The Salmon Fly Project

Featured Presentations:

Dr. Diana Six – A leading expert in insect ecology, Dr. Six will dive into the broader "insect apocalypse" and its impacts on ecosystems, biodiversity, and, of course, our fisheries. Are these declines real? What does it mean for anglers? Come find out.

The Salmonfly Project – Jackson Birrell & James Frakes – These researchers and fly fishers are tackling the mystery of disappearing salmon flies and other aquatic insects. Learn about their groundbreaking research, how warming waters and pollution are affecting hatches, and what can be done to protect the lifeblood of our rivers.

This is a must-attend event for anglers, conservationists, and anyone who cares about the health of our waters. Bring your questions, and let’s discuss how we can be part of the solution!
