Welcome New Chapter President, Brandon Dwyer

By Brandon Dwyer

I am Brandon Dwyer and I’m very happy and motivated to serve as the next president of the WestSlope Chapter Trout Unlimited.  I have the tremendously tall task of living up to Mark Kuiper’s leadership of this chapter during which  time the chapter grew to be the second largest in Montana (let's catch Bozeman!!!) and received top level national recognition for chapter projects and conservation dollars raised (TU National- Silver Trout Award).

As president of the WestSlope Chapter, I have the goal of maintaining the momentum that our board/membership have created, and to also grow that momentum through modernizing our digital presence, growing our school/educational programs (like Trout in the Classroom), creating a one-of-a-kind fly tying fellowship (we call ourselves The ThreadHeads), and be a champion for our remarkable women’s program which brings new exciting energy to fly fishing and conservation (@missoulaflygals).  It can’t be done alone and I am so very fortunate to have a committed, passionate, connected, and collaborative board that are really the ones that make it all happen.

If you want to know a little about me… I’m a born and raised Montanan, growing up in the cold-water cathedral of the Flathead Valley, I attended college at the University of Montana while suffering as a football player with not enough time to fish, did a professional stint after college in Billings Montana, and moved back to Missoula to be closer to family and for a fulfilling career as a community banker.

I look forward to being the leader of the WestSlope Chapter and working with all of you to create, inspire, and conserve great things for our WestSlope Country.

Cheers,

Brandon Dwyer
