This project, near the confluence of Bear Run and Miller Creeks, addresses large eroding banks, increases floodplain connectivity, improves aquatic habitat complexity, and facilitates the recovery of a native riparian community. 

Many people in this age of Kelly Galloup mega-streamers don't know is that sometimes a micro-streamer is just what the trout want.

Casting for Recovery (CfR) provides healing outdoor retreats for women with breast cancer. Enhancing the quality of life of women with breast cancer. CFR began in 1996 and with their 25th year, has served over 10,000 women who have dealt with breast cancer survival.

Chapter members John Rincher and Mark Kuipers spent a pleasant afternoon on Flathead Lake teaching a group of young people aged 14 to 18 about fly fishing and cold water conservation.

Meet WSCTU President and Program Chair, Mark Kuipers. Mark grew up in Michigan and at age 20 he hitchhiked around the country, working his way through Montana. Of all the places he visited, he vowed to live in Montana someday. 

Meet WSCTU board member Mike Peterson, born and raised in Butte, America, once the “richest hill on earth.” Mike learned to fly fish from his uncles on the Big Hole/Ruby Rivers and backpacking into the Pintlers and the Bob.

Meet WSCTU board member Joe Hertig, born on Long Island and raised in Salisbury, Connecticut. Joe left at age 22 for the Olympic Peninsula, where he caught the fishing bug for Steelhead and Salmon. While in college, he worked on a longline fishing boat and made two trips up the inside passage to Alaska.
