Warriors and Quiet Waters

Board member Paul Butler, a vet himself, helped rally members and chapters around the state to donate flies to Warriors and Quiet Waters, a Bozeman-based non-profit which serves severely injured Iraq and Afghanistan vets. In 2018 and 2019, we contributed over 32,000 flies! For our work, the chapter was recognized by Trout Unlimited President Chris Wood at the annual meeting.

And more good things happened because of our Chapter’s involvement.

Paul was working on a project to generate funds to provide Warriors and Quiet Waters with a custom drift boat that was wheelchair accessible. This is something that was badly needed to serve their mission. Based on our Chapter’s efforts with the flies, an anonymous donor came forward and funded the entire $18,000 project.

Now that’s good karma!
