Board Member Highlight – Jeff Picard

Meet board member Jeff Picard, originally from Oregon and Washington. Jeff grew up spin fishing. Enticed while watching a local TV show 21 years ago about the Yakima River, he decided to give fly fishing a try. He never looked back. Jeff was hooked, and the fly fishing Picard family was born!

Jeff and his dad were given a trip with a Bitterroot outfitter from his wife and mom. That sealed his fate and, in 2012, he moved his family to Montana. Fly fishing engages Jeff with his surroundings and, he is part of TU because, without a committed population for conservation, the future of outdoor activities is not guaranteed.

Jeff's favorite book is The Trout Whisperers about two eccentric fly fishers 25th fishing anniversary in Montana.
